Clear Your Clutter
This morning, while on my run, I passed a close acquaintance. I said good morning, called her by her name and was greeted by a rather peculiar look. She looked at me funny and said “Tine, its Sue.” I responded by saying “Yes, I know it’s you Sue. I said your name.” Anyway, what followed was a somewhat awkward exchange of words and I continued on.
As I often do on my runs, I like to get deep with my dreams. The feeling of one foot in front of the other provides a rhythmic backdrop for me to ponder the messages that show up and think about the grander picture of what is trying to be communicated to me.
I am a dreamer. Both in the literal and figurative sense. I believe our dreams are an extraordinary form of communication that come from a far. To take it a step further, I feel this communication is often times coming from my spirit guides. Yes, spirit guides. They like to work with various signs and symbols and when I mix in a big dollup of my intuition…. Bam! A symphony! A five course meal! An Oscar winning movie! In other words…. it all clicks and I say to myself “Yes!” Of course, the messages aren’t always flowers and rainbows. Often times, they can be hard to swallow and the one about to share is a little bit of that.
Over the past three nights I’ve been dreaming about communication. More specifically, clear communication or miscommunication. Here are some examples of the symbols that showed up ~ someone sleeping and not wanting to be woken up, piles of old clothes, a cellphone, missed text messages, pointing fingers, darkness and someone being pinned up against a wall.
So, here’s the message. I take this dream and think about my personal connection to communication and or miscommunication as well as the absolute necessity for CLEAR COMMUNICATION in the coming months. I am sensing we are all going to need to be super mindful with how we communicate as well as what we hear coming from others. When we clean out our emotional closets, we communicate and listen more clearly. This of course, is tethered to the needs of our society as well (this is like a 50 page post and I won’t go there today ;)) …and it starts with us.
As I finished my run, I happened to pass my friend again. I asked “Did you not think I knew it was you?” She said “No. I wasn’t sure if you knew it was me.” Woozer! I thought. We must have been deep in our own emotional closets as we crossed paths for I’ve known this woman for over 20 years. And one last bam!…. that’s where I tied it all together. My dreams and this situation were the perfect storm to share this message ~ observe what you hear and how you speak over the next few months for we ALL need to be mindful of our communication.
